We encourage our church family to get together outside of worship times. We offer a range of social, learning, and volunteer events that help strengthen our members as individuals and as a community.

Forest United Methodist hosts a quilting ministry. Many of the quilts made are donated to cancer patients, veterans of our armed services, those experiencing homelessness, and children at the United Methodist Children's Home. It meets on Tuesdays at 10am in the church’s fellowship hall.
HELPING HANDS, LOVING HEARTS THRIFT STORE

Forest United Methodist Church has a well stocked thrift store with very reasonable prices. All proceeds from the thrift store are used by the church for its ministries. Donations are always welcome. The thrift store is open every Friday at 9am on the church campus.

Mission Statement:
The FUMC Helping Hands and Loving Hearts yard sale serves as a receiving point for community donations of serviceable items and their redistribution at a reasonable price to local residents in need, with the modest proceeds used to support the Church's ongoing mission within our community.
FOREST UMC FOOD PANTRY (NEW)
Third Saturday
10am - 12noon
The Forest United Methodist Church - Silver Springs Florida will begin giving local residents and families a hand up with the opening of their Forest UMC Food Pantry where dried and canned goods will be distributed on December 16th, 2023.
The Forest UMC Food Pantry will be open from 10am until 12noon in the Fellowship Hall, 17635 E Hwy 40 Silver Springs, FL 34488.
Please bring ID such as a driver license for address verification. Not eligible if registered with any other food bank or pantry.
